William Walter Terry, 83, passed on from this life on January 27, 2025, at his home in Valliant, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family.

William was born on November 24, 1941, in Grant, Oklahoma, the son of David Floyd Terry and Lorene (Worthy) Terry-Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Terry; and daughter, Susan Lynn Gambill.

William was a lifelong member of the Choctaw and McCurtain County area. He joined the United States Army at the age of 17 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1962. He later moved to the Valliant area in 1969 where he began working for the Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern Railroad. William married his loving wife, Jo Ann Moss, on May 22, 1980, in Paris, Texas.

William was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt, fish and go camping with his family. He enjoyed playing dominoes but most of all he loved spending time with his family. William will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his loving family; wife of 44 years, Jo Ann Terry of the home; sons, Walter Dwayne Terry of Henryetta, OK and Chris Strawn and wife, Lisa of Golden, OK; daughters, Cheryl Lorene Bobo and husband, Gregory of Erick, OK, LaDonna Jean Muse and husband, Michael of Broken Bow, OK and Shelly Dawn Jenkins and husband, Sonny of Pisgah, AL; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Issac Terry and wife, Judith of Valliant, OK and David Eugene Terry of Valliant, OK; and sister-in-law, Judy Carol Terry; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and loved ones.
