Wanda Jean Mitchell was born on January 29, 1950 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Gene and Dorothy (Coffman) Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Janet Chavez and Betty Echols and sister-in-law, Hazel Gipson.

Wanda married her beloved husband, Melvin Mitchell on February 1, 1968, and they made their home in Rufe, Oklahoma. She loved working in her flower beds and visiting with friends and family. She also enjoyed watching old westerns and dearly loved being a wife to Melvin and mother to her children. Wanda was a member of Faithway Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by her community, family and friends.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Melvin Mitchell of Rufe, OK; daughter, Linda Frei and Chris of Tomah, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Johnny Dayberry, Ashley Allen and Lonny Sanders; nine great grandchildren; brother, Terry Hobbs of Idabel, OK; sister, Goldie Foshee of Idabel, OK; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
