Walter "Dub" Jack Mock, passed on May 7, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born on September 21, 1938, in Boswell, Oklahoma, to John Franklin Mock and Lola (Higginbottom) Mock. Dub was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michele Mock Yates; brothers, Jim Mock, Johnny Mock, Chocky Mock; sister, Gloria Mock; and grandson, Casey Belvin.

Dub Mock grew up in Boswell, Oklahoma, and attended school at Iron Stob. He cherished his hometown and had many friends and family there. After graduating from Boswell High School in 1958, he moved to Hugo, where he worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Choctaw County. When his father passed away, he returned to Unger to help his mother with their farm. He worked at Kay's Food Store in Hugo and later became a carpenter, building houses in the area. Dub also co-owned a gas station with his cousin Robert Moore. He loved riding horses, hunting, fishing, and cooking. He could grow anything in his garden and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dub is survived by his wife, Anna (Anderson) Mock of Boswell, OK; daughters, Melissa Bacon of Boswell, OK and LaDonna Belvin and husband Bryan of Boswell, OK; son in law, Tommy Yates, along with 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many other friends and loved ones.
