Vivian Janevieve (Billy) Dameron was born on December 26, 1944 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Thomas Billy and Edna (Borden) Billy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Billy and sister, Norma Burden.

Jan was raised in Poteau, graduating from the local high school in 1963. She then married the love of her life, Bobby Dameron, there on September 26, 1964. They later moved to the Hugo area where they have resided for the last 50 years. Jan worked for the City of Hugo as a clerk for the water department for many years. In her spare time Jan loved going camping and fishing with her family, enjoying the outdoors and cooking at the campgrounds. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting, always making things for the people she loved. However, the greatest joy Jan had in life was her family. Loving to spend time with them every chance she could. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Dameron; daughters, Angela Watts and husband, Walter of Hugo, OK and Crystal West and husband, Larry of Hugo, OK; brothers, Leroy Billy and wife, Joann of Poteau, OK and Fayette Billy and wife, Nita of Poteau, OK; sister, Cherry Neal of Cameron, OK; grandchildren, Nicholas Watts, Kaci Stephens, Britney Dansby, Chairety Hass, Khrystal Hass, Kiley Acker, Tamra Hass and Alysska West; 15 great grandchildren; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
