Vickie Lou Mitchell, 69, was born on September 2, 1954 in Merced, California, the daughter of Vance Petty and Lurene (Upton) Petty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Lurene Petty; son, Shawn Lee Mitchell and sisters, Edith Threet, Eunice Woods and Alice Piercy.

Vickie was a resident of Powderly, Texas, but lived in the Valliant area most of her life. She went to Valliant High School and attended college in Dallas. After high school, Vickie raised her two children, Shawn and Lilian, and started her career in accounting and HR in the construction industry. Vickie married the love of her life, Charles, on June 1, 1970 in Valliant. She enjoyed raising a garden and working in her flower gardens. Most of all Vickie loved her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Vickie will be truly missed by her family and loved ones.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Charles Mitchell of Powderly, TX; daughter, Lilian Mitchell of Powderly, TX; granddaughter, Leatrice Allred; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Pam Hess of Valliant, OK and Linda Graham of Seagoville, TX along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
