Marguerite Verita Roden, 75, was born on December 2, 1949 in Idabel, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sherman Jackson and Ester F. (Hawkins) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Jackson; sister-in-law, Patty Jackson; sister, Ruth Rose and niece, Donna Jean Boykin.

Verita grew up in Grant, Oklahoma and graduated from Grant High School, Class of 1968. She lived in Oklahoma, Nevada, Texas and Arkansas throughout her life and worked as a property manager for many years. Verita married her beloved husband, Lonnie Roden, on June 21, 1968 in Grant. She enjoyed knitting and tending to her goats. Verita was of the Missionary Baptist faith and loved her family and spending time with them. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Verita is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Doyle Roden; sons, Anthony Roden and wife, Amy of Deville, LA and Stephen Roden of Donaldson, AR; daughter, Teresa Cohen and husband, Russell of Malvern, AR; grandchildren, Joseph, Bobby and wife, Ashley, Katie and husband, Jon, Anna, Evan, Vader, Claire and Emily; great grandchildren, Cooper, Audrey, Karleigh, Timber, Camden and Brylynn and sister, Novella Trantham and husband, Mike of Hugo, OK along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
