Velaie Lee Crow, 71, was born on January 18, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Roy Alvin Crow and Velva Gene (William) Crow. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister and she joins in Heaven her parents and sister, Jackie Allen Hunter.

Velaie lived most of her life in Dallas, Texas. She earned an associate's degree in computer programming and her professional life was marked by a deep commitment to customer service. While owning her own business, Velaie was known as "the candy lady", with her baked goods and sweet treats bringing joy to her community. She had a great love for her pets, who were her constant companions and brought her much happiness. Those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with Velaie will remember her as a woman dedicated to her faith in God, her church and community. She loved her family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her.

Velaie is survived by her daughter, LaShonda Crow; sons, Issac Crow and Zedric Crow; grandchildren, A.J., Adre'Anna, Aericy, Cedric, Chris, Issac II, Issac III, Isabella and two other granchildren; brothers, Roy Crow, Charles Crow, Steven Crow and Major Crow and sisters, JoAnn Hunter and Ruby McDonald along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
