Anthony Craig "Tony" Allen was born November 1, 1955 in Martin, Kentucky, the son of Johnnie Allen Jr and Peggy Ann Greathouse Allen.  He lived in the Hugo area for the last 35 years.  Tony passed away from this life on May 27, 2023 at the age of 67 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Allen Sr and Peggy Ann Greathouse Allen; and a sister, Harriet Ann Allen-Puckett.

Tony retired from AEP after many years of service.  He was a cattle rancher and an avid horseman. Tony served on multiple Rodeo Association's throughout his life.  He was an early riser and worked hard every day.  He treated those who worked for him with great respect. He set a high standard for himself, and for his family.  Tony had a great knowledge about cattle, he didn't just ride horses he was a talented horse trainer.  He would work all day at PSO and then come home and ride horses for the rest of his day.  Tony took great pride in his work and expected a lot from those around him.  He also was an auctioneer and donated his time and talent to help with fundraisers for the youth of his community.  Anything he set his mind to do, he worked hard at, and perfected it.  Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Ann Allen, Christen Allen, and Chance Allen; grandchildren, Craig Allen Horsley, Acea Marie Horsley, Ledger Worthey, Kylie Jo McEver and Tristen Clancy Allen; brothers, Phillip Dwight Allen and Timothy L. Allen; sister, Beverly K. Allen-Purcell; along with a host of other friends, family, and loved ones.
