Thomas Ray "Tommy" House, 76 was born on September 28, 1946, in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Cliff House and Boodie Jo (Oakes) House. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles House; sister, Linda (House) Allen and brothers in law, Don Allen and Billy Duke.

Tommy graduated from Soper High School in 1964 and went on to Murray State College to pursue his degree in Agriculture. From there, he went to Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Education and later completed his Master's Degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. While attending school his sister introduced him to the love of his life, Linda. Tommy and Linda were married on November 26, 1970 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Upon completion of school he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in Vietnam as an Airborne Communication Operator, aboard the Oriskany with the Fighter Squadron 194 'Red Lightnings'. After returning home from Vietnam, Tommy began his "Ag" teaching career in 1973 at Achille Public Schools. He also taught at Boswell Public Schools and Ft. Towson Public Schools, where he retired after 28 years of teaching.

Tommy was a lifelong resident of Southeastern Oklahoma and a former member of the Choctaw County Fair Board and Choctaw County Livestock Board. He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation Veteran's, Masonic Lodge, the president of VFW in Fort Towson, Oklahoma, and National Garage Sellers of America. He enjoyed camping, stopping at the occasional garage sale and especially enjoyed a good game of dominoes. Tommy also enjoyed playing ship captain and crew, cooking and cooked for many years for the Hugo PRCA Rodeo. He was a hard worker, loyal, mentor, he had a servant's heart and would help any student or person in need. Above all, he treasured spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren. Tommy's passing has left a huge void in the lives of his family, students and the community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda House; sons, Jody House and wife Michelle of Tishomingo, OK and Justin House and wife Johonna of Soper, OK; grandchildren, Morgan Curtis and husband Larimey, Lane House and Jaelin Lyday, Ethan House, Emory House and Jayden Chumley; brother Gary House and wife Janet of Soper, OK; along with a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; his students and kids that he has mentored and taught throughout the years.
