Thomas Lee Cummings Jr., 60, was born on November 28, 1963, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas Lee Cummings Sr. and Shirley Ann (Springs) Cummings. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Lorene and Rufus Springs.

Tommy grew up in Tecumseh however, he spent many summers and vacations visiting his family in Hugo. He graduated from Tecumseh High School and then received his master's degree in education from Texas Women's University. Tommy started teaching history in 1988, a subject he truly enjoyed. Tommy went on to have many successful and rewarding years in administration and coaching, retiring in 2022. He had a passion for helping students, whether that was on the field or in the classroom, he wanted to help them succeed. Most known as Coach Cummings but, also known as a great friend. He was loved by many kids and touched the lives of many students. In Tommy's spare time, he enjoyed playing ball with his daughter, fishing and anything that involved sports, especially when it involved the Oklahoma Sooners or the Dallas Cowboys. He also, enjoyed going to church, he was a man of faith and wanted to share that with others. Tommy's greatest joy in life truly was his family. His passing has left a void in their lives but, his memory will live on through all who knew and loved him.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Rena Cummings of Hugo, OK; daughter, Tawny Lane Cummings and Tyler Stamm of Oakridge, TX; granddaughter, Finleigh Stamm; mother, Shirley Cummings of Tecumseh, OK; sister, Patty Payne and husband, Steve of Hugo, OK; brother, Michael Cummings of Shawnee, OK; mother and father-in-law, Alberta and David Morrow of Calvin, OK, brother-in-law, Wil Morrow and spouse, Jovan of Simi Valley, CA; sister-in-law, Tammy Cohen and spouse, Assi of  Calabasas, CA; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and other family, friends and loved ones.
