Thelma Mae (Carrico) Brown, 82, was born on December 30, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Howard Oral Carrico and Mildred (Moore) Carrico. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Don Pierce and Bobby Joe Carrico; nephew, Ryan Carrico; great nephew, Bobby Carrico and great niece, Alejandra Huerta Godinez.

Thelma lived in Boswell most of her life. She received her High School Diploma in 1977 and went on to attend Southeastern University to obtain her bachelor's degree in science in 1978. Thelma later worked as a health care provider for many years; offering comfort, care, and compassion to those who needed it most. In her personal life, Thelma found great joy in the simple and beautiful things around her. She cherished being outdoors, whether it was fishing, bird watching or tending to her beautiful rose garden, she always enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. Traveling brought her happiness as well, and she welcomed the opportunity to see new places and experience the beauty of the world beyond her own doorstep. Thelma lived with purpose and grace, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of many.

Thelma is survived by her nephew, Jacob Guerrero; great nephew, Kyler Guerrero; great nieces, Alyvia Guererro, Kynza Guerrero and Kylin Guerrero; brother, Calvin Carrico and sisters, Sharada Bacon, Christy Carrico, Vida Winters and Melba Carrico along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
