Shirley Vivian Jones was born September 17, 1949, in Guymon, OK, the daughter of Benjamin "Pete" Crowder and Mary "Opal" (Campbell) Crowder. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Nick Crowder; sister, Villie Ann Ward and granddaughter, Brandy Sutherland.

Shirley was a proud veteran of the US Navy, where she was a hull integrity specialist. She loved to tell stories about her time in the Navy and even spent over 10 months at sea. Shirley loved animals and was known for taking in strays. She loved caring for them and nursing them back to health. However, Shirley's greatest joy in life was her loving family. She was the one person they could go to for advice for on anything. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Tammie Jones of Soper, OK and Angela Sutherland and husband, Larry of Iron Station, NC; son Benjamin Dale Jones and wife, Leah of Grant, OK; grandchildren, Charlie Jones, Deakin Jones, Ely Jones, Wyatt Jones, Britt O'Neal, Beka Sutherland, Britney Sutherland, Makinzie Mitchell, Dannie Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, Sharanda Cochaur, and Micah Spurlock; great grandchild, Gavin Jones, Laycn Jones, and Nicholas Shelton, brother-in-law, Jeff Ward; several nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
