Michael Shane Benjamin, 44, was born on October 9, 1980, in Paris, Texas, the son of Michael "Mickey" Benjamin and Pamela Hess. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Jon Jones.

Shane was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Shane especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a joker and prankster who enjoyed making people laugh. Shane also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Shane is survived by his father, Mickey Benjamin and wife, Debbie of Hugo, OK; mother, Pam Hess and husband, Howard of Swink, OK; son, Brody Benjamin of Lindsey, OK; daughters, Shayna Benjamin and husband, Austen of Antlers, OK and Natally Benjamin of Lindsey, OK; stepsons, Broc Erwin of Sobol, OK and Toby Priest of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren, Baeson Brody Benjamin and Dakota Michael Benjamin; brothers, Sean Benjamin of Farris, OK, Justin Benjamin of Hugo, OK and James Jones of Soper, OK; sisters, Kristi Benjamin, Tricia Compton and Bekah Langley of Hugo, OK; uncle, Charles Mitchell of Powderly, TX; aunt, Linda Graham of Seagoville, TX; special friend, Deanna Shawhart of Hugo, OK and a host of nieces, nephews along with numerous other friends, family and loved ones.
