Seferina Baldonado passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born on October 22, 1934, in Sabinoso, New Mexico, the daughter of Manuel and Quiteria (Montoya) Gallegos. Seferina was raised by her loving parents, Jesus and Florinda Marquez. She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Manuel and Quiteria and the parents that raised her, Jesus and Florinda; her beloved husband, Gillie Baldonado; brothers, Dolores and Margarito Marquez, Manuel, Meliton and Ricardo Gallegos; sisters, Sofronia Gallegos (her twin), Mary Martinez, Delfinia Gallegos, Frutosa Rascon and Matilda Rael; sisters-in-law, Bessie Gallegos, Magdalena Gallegos and Eloisa Marquez; brother-in-law, Pascual Martinez; nieces, Grace and Mae Gallegos, Alieen Linson and Frances (Pancha); nephews, Wayne, Edwin and Joseph Linson, Pascual Martinez Jr., Don and Larry Gallegos, Ricky Slager, Tony Rael and Joe Marquez. Sefe as her family called her was a kind and gentle woman who loved everybody and loved to giggle and laugh. She will be missed terribly.

Seferina was a resident of Hugo, OK and worked as a phone operator in New Mexico at one of the largest hospitals in Albuquerque. She had a passion for traveling and exploring new places and visiting family along the way. Seferina was very independent and liked to do her own thing, especially going to Wal-Mart, finding joy in the aisles and the people she would meet. She also loved doing embroidery, butterflies and going out to eat any chance she got. Most of all Seferina loved spending time with her family and talking about old times. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.

Seferina is survived by her son and caretaker, Jesse Baldonado and family of Millerton, OK; daughter, Margie Romero and family of Raton New Mexico; grandchildren, Jessica Baldonado, Rena Michelle and John Romero, Antoinette Ruiz and Xavier Ruiz; 9  great grandchildren whom she adored, including Orion Baldonado; sister-in-law, Virginia Leatherman of Albuquerque, NM; nieces and nephews, Edith Mahali and family of Johnson City, TN, Celestina Pierce and family of Johnson City, TN, Frutosa (Tinky) Huges and family of Johnson City, TN, Lavona Linson and family of Leander, TX, Rose Gallegos and partner of Albquerque, NM, Patrick Gallegos and family of Bernalillo, NM, Bobby Gallegos and family of Albuquerque, NM, Larry Gallegos family of Albuquerque, NM, Priscilla Plante and family of Trout Cree, MT, Gloria Madril and family of Las Vegas, NV, Patsy Hines and family of Albuquerque, NM, Judy Rhodes and family of Albuquerque, NM, Jackson Rhodes of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Montano and family of Los Lunas, NM, Rosalie Rael of Longmont, CO, Barbara Aguilar and family of Longmont, CO, the families of Ricky Slager, Tony Rael and Frances (Pancha) of Longmont, CO, Ingred Gallegos of Germany, Irene Ramirez and family of Brush, CO and Connie Gonzales and family of Delhart, TX and beloved friend she adored as a daughter Judy Anaya and family of Albuquerque, NM, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
