Sara Allison Loftin was called home to her Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Sara was born to Tim and Letha Loftin on a beautiful fall night, on Tuesday, October 21, 1980, in Paris, Texas.

She was welcomed by her older brother, Nelson, age three. He asked if we could call her just "Sara", so she became Sara from then on. To her excited grandparents, T.H. Loftin, Jr. and Juanita Loftin, she was such a joy, the first girl in their family after raising four boys. Her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Fowler "Hazel" White, had the experience before, a total of 11 came before Sara. However, she of course was so thrilled to have a new granddaughter, who so favored her own daughter. Grandmother White exclaimed "She looks just like that Letha!" Sara had a happy childhood and at the age of four years and nine months, she became a big sister to her baby brother Aaron. She wanted to mother him and love on him all the time. The family of five was a perfect fit and had many wonderful years that followed.

Sara loved her neighborhood school, Ben Franklin Elementary, just three blocks from her home. She loved her teachers and had lots of friends. Mrs. Vandergriff would always have Sara go up to the chalkboard and show the class how to write certain letters. Many in her class asked Sara to cut out their pictures because she was so good with scissors and her precision cuts always looked better. Since her mom was always a home room mother, her little brother was allowed to come to the school parties. They enjoyed field trips and picnics, as well.

At the age of 10 years, 8 ½ months, Sara made the most important decision of her life as she gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized on July 7, 1991, at Clayton Avenue Baptist Church, by Pastor Dempsey Cosper.

Sara had many cousins who doted on her. She was the girls' "Little Doll". Her cousin, Sigrid, always like to French braid Sara's long blonde hair. Her cousins, Nina, Lori, and Amy were always dressing her up. She would look like a princess, which is the meaning of her name in Hebrew.

As a child, she was very active, biking, skating, skateboarding and tree climbing. She was always on the go. Sara also loved to sing as a child. Once she was in the backyard, standing on the picnic table, holding a microphone while belting out "Honey Won't You Open That Door", a Ricky Skaggs tune.

Sara was quiet by nature and always observed and listened to any conversation going on. She absorbed everything around her and felt things very deeply. She was so talented in the arts, a writer of poetry and could draw anything. She did many sketches of people in her life and people were astonished by them. She loved nature, enjoyed keeping up with each full moon and any eclipse or meteor shower. Animals were very close to her heart and she had many dogs, cats, two bunnies, a special cockatiel named Sammy, turtles and so forth. She leaves behind her beloved cat "Sasha".

Sara's health problems started in her early teen years and she endured so much over the years that included long distance trips to see specialists and hospital stays. She dealt with so much for someone so young. She was a soldier and kept plugging along.

Sara was very close to her Uncle Lindy. He would take her and her brothers to Braums for ice cream and also take them to the TV towers to explore. He joked around with them and made them laugh. He carried on the tradition that her PaPa Loftin had started, calling her Sara Louise.

In her early twenties Sara's interest in the Catholic faith led her to visit mass on a Sunday morning in June or July 2005. She walked in and took a seat on the back row by herself. From there she continued until she was able to be confirmed the following Spring, the Saturday before Easter, April 15, 2006. Coincidentally, Sara's first visit at the Immaculate Conception was Father Joseph Chirayath's first mass there, as well. For many years Sara was a very active and valued member. She helped out in any way she could. Soon she was a Lector and when I visited with her and watched her up on the podium reading to the crowd, I was so proud of her. She enjoyed taking pictures of every activity and one highlight for her was when three nuns were visiting and they had a picnic at Hugo Lake. She photographed the nuns swinging on a tree swing for the first time in their lives, their long habits flapping in the wind, with big smiles on their faces.

Sara's favorite motto was " Enjoy the Little Things!"

Sara was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Sara was predeceased by her grandparents, T.H. Loftin, Jr., and Juanita Glaze Loftin, James Fowler White and Hazel Alexander White, five uncles and one aunt.

She is survived by her parents, Tim and Letha Loftin, brothers Nelson Ryan Loftin and Aaron Kyle Loftin, all of  Hugo, Ok. Three aunts, Martha Short and Don, Judy Clancy and Joe, Julia White; an uncle, Lindy Loftin ; ten cousins, 19 great cousins, and 15 great-great cousins, and one on the way.
