Rusty Merle Christian was born on June 6, 1952 in Valliant, OK to Hershel "Red" Christian and Jo Helen (Altenbaumer) Christian. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Rusty was a lifelong resident of Valliant. He graduated from Valliant High School in 1970 and became a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. Rusty was an avid outdoorsman and loved going coon hunting, deer hunting and fishing. He loved traveling to all the lower forty eight states and lived larger than life. Rusty liked to golf and enjoyed roping. He also liked a good game of poker. Rusty was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Felker Freewill Baptist Church. His family was the most important part of his life and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rusty is survived by his daughter, Bria Davey and husband Zane of Valliant, Ok; sons, Scott Christian of Hochatown, OK, Jamie Christian and wife Shonda of Valliant, OK, Aaron Harder and wife Megan of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Brayden, Brennan, Gary, Bradlea, Amber, Riggen, Rauzen, Rayden, Jaden; great grandchildren, Avernly, Bransyn, Brylynn, Addison, Kitt; sister, Judy Manning and husband Jackie of Valliant, OK; niece, Christi Foster and her children; nephew, Kyle Manning and his children; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
