Richard Lynn Payne, Jr., 45, was born on June 14, 1980 in Greenville, Texas to Richard Payne and Kathie Darlene (Thomas) Woodson. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Freddy Woodson and grandparents, O.D. and Frances Elder and Clifford and Mocelle Payne.

Richard was a graduate of Wolfe City, Texas. He lived in Bethel, Oklahoma and Greenville, Texas before moving to Hugo over 20 years ago. Richard married his beloved wife, Kathy Tucker, on October 30, 2012. He had a big heart and never met a stranger. Richard was a diesel mechanic by trade and enjoyed tinkering with various vehicles. He also enjoyed cooking with family and fishing. Richard loved his animals, especially his dogs. He was a jokester who enjoyed making people smile. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; father, Richard Payne  of Texas; mother, Kathie Woodson of Hugo, OK; daughters, Shellie Coffman and husband Vance, and Nicki Albrecht and husband Tim; 4 grandchildren; several great grandchildren;  brothers,  John Thomas and wife Sarah and Robert Long and wife Holly; sisters, Christy Lynn Payne and husband James and Kathlene Harland and husband Randy; lifelong friends, Corey Robertson and Jeremy Bess along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
