Rhea "Hog Man" Collins, 71, passed on from this life on June 10, 2025, at his home in Annona, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Rhea was born on August 13, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Robert Collins and Sue (Nantz) Fussell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 41 years, Jan Collins.

Rhea grew up and spent most of his life in Choctaw County, Oklahoma. He married his beloved wife, Jan (Davis) Collins, on November 12, 1973, in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. Rhea later moved to Annona, Texas, in 2018, following the passing of his wife.

Rhea was an avid outdoors man, loving to be outside tending to his large garden and chickens. However, his true passion was trapping hogs for local farmers and ranchers. Rhea earned the nickname "Hog Man" and carried it proudly, even trapping up to his last finally weeks on this earth.

If Rhea wasn't out in his garden or trapping hogs, you could find him on his back porch, also known as "Rhea's Rhea's Boom Boom Room". It was the cornerstone of the neighborhood and Rhea made some of his best memories and friendships there. He truly loved cooking and entertaining his family and neighbors. Above all else, Rhea was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Rhea's memory, love for life and for people will be cherished forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Rhea is survived by his loving family; children, Christopher Collins and wife, Sara of Marietta, GA and Amanda Collins of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Hayley, Landon, Trevor, Dawson and Kelsie; great grandchildren, Benson Rhea, Piper and Tobias; sister, Susan McGaugh and husband, Gary; brother and sisters-in-law, Rickey and Joye Hylton; sister-in-law, Dawn and husband, Ed, along with a host of other family and many friends.
