Recesa Powell, 57, was born on December 2, 1967, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank Wayne Powell and DeWayne Lea (Wright) Priddy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Recesa lived in Choctaw County for most of her life. She graduated from Fort Towson High School, Class of 1986. Recesa had many interests and hobbies, she attended cosmetology school and became a hairdresser and was also a certified jeweler. Her nurturing spirit led her to further her education, becoming a licensed practical nurse, a role in which she provided comfort and care for those in need. Recesa was a true caretaker, whether it be caring for her patients or raising and supporting her kids, she loved to care for people. She also worked construction across the United States and Mexico and was a ranch hand for her grandfather, Willie Wright. She enjoyed researching natural remedies and was a self-taught herbalist. Recesa showed her love for animals as a miniature dog breeder. She also enjoyed going fishing, working in her garden and driving the dirt roads. Recesa loved the "boys" that she helped raise and took under her wings. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Recesa leaves behind a family who dearly loved her, and her memory will live on in their hearts forever.

Recesa is survived by her loving family, husband, Michael Alan McLemore of the home; daughters, Christy Price of Garvin, OK, Denise Pyle and husband, Trent of Chickasha, OK, Molly Hooper and husband, William of Houston, TX and Kylie Jean Owens of Madill, OK; sons, Steven Price and wife, Tonya of Ft. Towson, OK and Dakota Owens and wife, Scarlet of Wright City, OK; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; special nieces, Rachel Belchor, Bridget Crippin and Maykela Burchfield; special nephew, Bram Powell; brother, Billy Powell of Swink, OK; sisters, Robin O'Rear of Idabel, OK, Susan Kizer of Hugo, OK and Crista Wright of Ft. Towson, OK and Melinda Burchfield of Hugo, OK along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family member and loved ones.
