Patricia Lavern (Provence) Renner was born on May 24, 1933 in Rufe, Oklahoma to Arthur Provence and Ila Alice (Wooten) Provence. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Kimbro Heflin; stepson, Brant Renner; grandchildren, Johnny Heflin and Amy Robertson; brothers, Buck Provence and Leslie Provence; sisters, Mildred Burwell, Stella Scarborough, Connie Reed, Laro Myers and Housten Roberts.

Patricia was a long time resident of Rufe and taught at Valliant Schools for many years. She married her husband, Johnnie Renner on November 24, 1977. While living together in Valliant, her husband poured the slip into the mold and Patricia taught ceramic lessons to hundreds of Valliant kids and her family. They moved to Millerton, where they owned a trailer park with a swimming pool. After retirement, they lived in a motor home, moving to Mississippi and then Florida. Patricia spent the last nine months of her life in Arkansas. She was a member of the National Education Association and a Childhood Development Specialist. Patricia loved her honorary kids and grandkids, related or not, like they were her own. So many people called her "Mama Pat". She was a great inspiration and motivator to many. She loved cooking and trying new recipes. One of her greatest accomplishments was making the "Provence Family Cookbook". Patricia loved being out in her garden but her greatest love was for The Lord, her family and her friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Johnnie; daughters, Debbie Grigsby and husband Steven of Powder Springs, GA, Donna Peebles and husband Richard of Hot Springs Village, AR, Rita Herring of Van Cleve, MS; grandchildren, Angie Boswick, Jason Heflin, Brandi Wilke, Tarra Singleton, Brittany Grigsby, Mindi Simoneaux, Tiffany Ramsey, Jordan Herring; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; brother, Chuck Provence and wife Geneva of Choctaw, OK; sister, Bernice Collie of Ft. Worth, TX; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved family, friends and loved ones.
