Pat Carnley, age 71 of Millerton, passed away peacefully, in the company of her family, on
Sunday, January 29, 2023, following her difficult bout with cancer.

She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma and lived her adult life in Millerton with her husband Billy Joe.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Billy Hankins. She was known as Pat
and Patty by many of her lifelong friends.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Her son, Billy James and his wife Kassie
gave Pat the sunshine of her life, her only granddaughter, Addyson (ClaireMae). She
encouraged and supported her granddaughter in all ways, including helping Addyson with her
pet goats, and encouraging her to excel in school and make many friends.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. Most of her friends
visited her often at American Tire, their family business operated by her, her husband and her
son.

Her personality was that of a wise and humorous lady. She often surprised her friends with
good advice which was given seriously in a way that made people laugh. She loved going out
to eat on Friday nights to enjoy Mexican food and a stopover at the casino. She enjoyed her
visits with her family in Boston and she liked to recall the fun she had on her ocean cruise with
Billy Joe.

Pat always served fantastic meals in her home on holidays. Special guests included friends and
neighbors, and anyone who had no nearby family to share the holiday with.
She was elected vice president of the Millerton Citizens group. She was a community leader,
and worked with Millerton friends to plan and host many benefits and holiday gatherings at the
Millerton community building.

She is survived by the love of her life of 51 years, BJ Carnley. Her son Billy James and wife
Kassie, and one granddaughter Addyson Claire. Her Aunt Maureen and a host of cousins and
their families who meant the world to her. As well as Kenneth and Bobbie Carter, their kids and
grandkids. Numerous very close family friends, and devout customers.

Following her requests, there will be no visitation and no funeral service because in her own
wise words, 'It is what it is!'
