Pat Ray Strayhorn was born on September 18, 1954 in DeQueen, AR to Hubert Elmore and Vera Mae (Rowan) Strayhorn. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Stacy Renae' Strayhorn and Megan Ashley Strayhorn.

Pat was a lifelong resident of Wright City and began working at Weyerhauser at the young age of seventeen. He married the love of his life, Sheila on May 13, 1977 in Millerton, McCurtain County, Ok. Pat served as a Police Officer for Wright City, starting in 2006, for ten years. He was Chief of Police for his last five years of duty. Pat was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt. He would take off work for a month to take part in hunting season. Pat was also a council member for Wright City for many years after retirement. His greatest love was for his family and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Strayhorn of the home; children, Robbie and Tiffany of Hugo, OK; Steven and Suzy of Wright City, OK; Kim and Tony of Idabel, OK; Natalie and Scott of Wright City, OK; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family and loved ones.
