Papa John's colorful journey of life started in Hereford, Texas. Born to Ella Morton Renner & John S. Renner. Having worked as a truck driver, in the oil fields and a train man, his strong work ethic led him on a 30 odd year journey with Weyerhaeuser where he retired in Wright City, Oklahoma as Powerhouse Superintendent.

Through his trek in young adulthood, he cherished the birth of 3 sons, Leslie, Jim & Brant. Crossing his passage of numerous places of residence, the Valliant & Millerton area became his homeplace for many years. When he courted Patricia Laverne Provence Heflin (to later marry) he acquired 4 more kids. Debbie, Donna, Rita and Kim. Although kids were not the only asset Pat brought to the table along followed Tarra, Mindi, Amy, Angie, & newborn Tiffany. Followed by Jason, Brandei, Brittany, Johnnie and Jordan. Meanwhile, Jim was producing Erin & Lori to increase the grandkid clan. Tiffany got to be the most spoiled always finding room on Papa John's chest to nap or just cuddle.

While living in Millerton, Papa John & Grandmother owned a trailer park which was an extremely popular summer hangout for many of the grands (without their parents). Papa John although busy with all of Grandmothers limitless projects and never-ending front porch yard sales he found time to create amazing woodwork projects in his shop. Most of the time being interrupted by squealing grands in the pool or chasing them out of his recliner with their wet swimsuits. It became a game to hear him cuss them in love to not get his recliner wet. Shelling peas, digging or peeling potatoes and slicing of garden-fresh veggies for Grandmother taught him to be an amazing sous chef in later years. Along with Papa John skill set came the introduction of hot Keystone Lite to some of the crew.

Upon retirement Papa John & Grandmother spent countless years being traveling gypsies in their numerous motorhomes. Especially in the Northeast visiting Jim, the Renner grands & multiple Aunts and Uncles. None of us ever knew when they were going to show up or where they would be next. Having extensively traveled the United States roots were put down in Florida close to Kim, Pam & the Heflin grands. Later on returning to the coast in Ocean Spring, Ms.

Last but not least Papa John & Grandmother moved to Arkansas to enjoy the cameras set up to watch their wildlife. Papa John constantly watched for and kept a tally of his daily critter visits, squirls, coons, possums, birds and the all-time favorite deer. After Grandmother passed his time was spent still watching Gunsmoke, The Price is Right, Stock market, Cheyenne and especially football. Papa John developed an enthusiastic repertoire of followers in Mt Carmel Assisted living. His last visitors made the special effort to let him know how loved he was during the end of his journey! Papa John leaves behind numerous great grands and great great grands.
