Mary Janette Jackson, 81, was born on March 8, 1941 in Kilgore, TX to Walter Willie and Mildred (Beal) Alderson. She passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Idabel, OK. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Johnny Allen Jackson; a son, Brian Keith Jackson; a brother, Ronnie Alderson; and two sisters, Lou Southall and Pat Sloan.

Mary married Johnny Allen Jackson in Longview, TX in 1962. He worked as a pipeline welder for 29 years all over the World laying pipe in the Gulf of Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Brazil, Oman, the North Sea and all over the US. Mary and her family finally moved to Valliant in 1976 after spending almost 2 ½ years in Edinburgh, Scotland and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Mary was a wonderful wife and mother who had a passion for cooking but also enjoyed gardening & sewing. Mary was a very independent woman who took care of everything when her husband was off working. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Johnny Jackson and wife, Carolyn of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Brandon Jackson and wife, Hannah of Garvin, OK, Johnathon Cole Jackson of Idabel, OK and Andra Jackson of Greendale, IN; great grandchildren, Harper Jackson and Kayden Jackson, both of Garvin, OK; brother, Phillip Alderson and wife, Rita of Hughes Springs, TX; sisters, Treva Hawkins of Atlanta, GA, Paula Beard and husband, Scott of Austin, TX and Susan Alderson of Tyler, TX; sister–in law Mary Alice Jackson of Tatum, TX and a brother in-law Ronnie Jackson of Kilgore, TX; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
