Marjorie "Margie" Ann Johnson (Bell) was born and raised in Texas with her two sisters, Sylvia "Sue" and June, and brother Glenn "Sonny".  She loved playing basketball and skating, and it was during one of those nights skating in her teens that she met her future husband, Bobby Johnson.

After graduating from S&S Consolidated High School in 1961, she attended college for nursing from which she took a break to get married, and to join Bob in his military career.  She later finished her education to become a respiratory therapist. She spent forty years in this career, helping countless patients with a smile on her face. During these times, she also worked as an EMT. Her caring nature knew no bounds.

After marrying the love of her life, Bob Johnson on December 21st, 1961, they began a twenty year-long adventure in the Army, which took them all over the world. In those twenty years she became a mother to three children; Joey, David and Leatha, whom she loved more than life itself.

After her husband's retirement from the military, they returned to Southeast Oklahoma, where they laid their roots. As part of their military habit, they were known for moving more often than most, and with every move Margie would work tirelessly to make the house a home.

One of Margie's passions was taking care of her family. She always made sure her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had everything they could ever want. No one ever left her house hungry, but they did always leave with leftovers. Never opening a cookbook, her homemade ice cream, German chocolate cake, fried chicken and pot roast were always requested by the family.

When not caring for people, Margie loved to care for flowers, and her flower beds were so immaculate they would rival any floral magazine cover. She would say "they need a good drink", as she watered them. Margie had a knack for making things beautiful! Her faith in God never wavered as she spent her life committed to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved going to church and singing her hymns, and she would always offer you a piece of Extra gum.

Margie's memory will live on in those who knew her, her love forever embracing, and her strength steady with the beats of our hearts. No words can explain, no thoughts can suffice, no feelings can encompass everything she truly was to her family....Margie, Mom and Granny.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, Bobby Johnson; son, David Glen Johnson and great granddaughter, Presley Hampton. She is survived by her son, Joey Johnson; daughter Leatha Hampton and husband, Ronnie of Boswell, OK; grandchildren, Ryan Hampton and wife Shelby, Jessica Testerman and husband Ray, Rachel Nelton-Johnson, Stephen Moffitt, Jacob Love and wife Nikkie, Ashley Johnson and David Johnson and wife Lexi; great grandchildren, Addy, Lylah, Kanyon, Riley Jo, Jaelyn, Braelie, Keira, Alaina, Adlee Jo, Raelynn, Jack and Harleigh; brother, Sonny Bell of Calera, OK; sisters, Slyvia Ricks of Denison, TX and June Bernabe and husband Gill of Sherman, TX along with a host of friends, family and loved ones.
