Marion Kathleen "Kathy" Smith-Oneal, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and avid crafter, passed away at the age of 72 on August 11, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family and best friend who take solace in their cherished memories of her warm presence and generous spirit.

Kathy was born on July 8, 1952, in Beaumont, TX, the daughter of Willis Ray and Billie Faye (Platt) Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roger Clements, Carl "Snuffy" Smith and Bob O'Neal; son, Grant Webley; sister, Gloria Joyce Coplen; brother-in-law, Larry Adkisson and nephew, John Michael Dalton.

Kathy spent her life embracing the simple joys that brought her happiness. An exceptionally talented seamstress and craft enthusiast, she spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts, handmade gifts, and intricate decorations that will forever be treasured by those who received them. Her hands, skilled in the art of sewing and crafting, were always busy, whether she was sewing a new dress for a grandchild or creating a special project with friends.

Her love for crafting was matched only by her passion for playing games with her friends. Kathy's infectious laughter and competitive spirit made game nights a highlight for those who were fortunate enough to join her. Whether it was a board game or a card game, she played with enthusiasm and a playful heart.

Family was at the core of Kathy's life. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, often recounting their latest accomplishments with pride and delight. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to creating lasting memories with them, whether it was through baking cookies, sewing new creations, or simply sharing stories and laughter. Kathy's kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jason Clements and his wife, Charla; her grandchildren, Chasen Clements, Cai Clements, Chloe Clements, Cheyenne Clements, Brayden Webley, Jacob Webley and wife, Krissy, Montgomery Webley, Mariska Webley; great grandson, Carter Webley; stepson John Clements; sisters Vicky Dalton and husband, Gary, LaRue Adkisson, Billie Rae Roach and husband, James; special friends, Debbie Vashaw and Marion Dacus and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her generosity and zest for life; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Kathy Smith-O'Neal's spirit and creativity will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on August 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Midway Cemetery in Woodville, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Miller and Miller Funeral Home in Valliant, OK to assist in expenses.
