Lowell Dean Grelle was born on November 26, 1937 in Lampasas, TX, the son of Emmett Grelle and Edith (Napier) Grelle.  He passed from this life on February 24, 2023 in Paris, TX at the age of 85 years.  Lowell married Neva Prater on May 13, 1986 in Horatio, AR.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Edith Grelle; brother, Douglas Grelle; and grandchild, Alex Irvan.

Lowell was born in Lampasas, Texas and spent his school-aged years in Cotton Valley, LA.  After High School he joined the Navy where he served as a boilerman on the U.S.S. Lexington.  After leaving his service in the Navy he spent most of his life in various roles in the Paper Industry.  In 1970 he moved to Texarkana, TX and worked in the Maintenance depart for Nekoosa Paper.  In 1985 Lowell moved to Valliant, OK and finished his work career as the Assistant Mill Superintendent for International Paper. After retiring, Lowell remained in the Valliant area which he called home for the last 36 years of his life.  Lowell was described by many as a hard worker, a good friend, very loyal, and extremely intelligent.  Lowell lived an active life and his many passions included riding his motorcycle, playing country music, fishing, hunting, traveling, camping and going dancing with his wife Neva.  He was a member of the Kiamichi Independent Bikers and was proud to have been a Mason for over 50 years.  Lowell loved his large family and many friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Neva Grelle of Valliant, OK; daughters, Gayla Irvan and husband Kirby of Horatio, AR, Greta Harris and husband Kenny of Hot Springs, AR, sons, Jason Grelle and wife Kelli of Sunnyvale, TX, Guy Brooks and wife Debra of Colbert, OK, and Greg Brooks of Haworth, OK; sisters, Barbara Coleman and husband Ronald of Brownsville, TX, Neva Smith and husband Bob of Carthage, TX and Linda Nedbalec and husband Charles of Corpus Christi, TX; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
