Louis Gene Lee, 79, was born July 21, 1944 in Safford, AZ, the son of Carl Lee and Frances Reed Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hal Ray Lee and William Woodard Lee.

Gene married the love of his life, Glenda Lou Inge Lee, on November 25, 1967 in Hugo, OK. He and Glenda were married for almost 56 years. He attended Hugo High School in 1962 and left for a four year tour in the U.S. Navy. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from East Central State College and a Master's degree in Behavioral Studies from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Gene lived in the Wanette, OK community for 31 years. He worked as the Administrator of Records for the State of Oklahoma Department of Corrections for 38 years. Gene enjoyed travelling, coin collecting, wood working, and was a big OU fan, but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. Gene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gene is survived by his wife, Glenda Lee; sons, Timothy Lee and wife Alicia of Ada, OK and Josh Michael Lee and wife Johna of Ada, OK; brothers, Michael D. Lee and wife Linda and Carlton R. "Bob" Lee and wife Pamela; grandchildren, Amy Lee Studer and husband Ivan, Nicole Soustek and husband Dylan, Christopher Bartoldus, Jacie Lee and Jalynn Lee; great grandchildren, Harper Studer, Aleksandr Studer and Ava Jean Studer, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
