Linda Kay Guthrie (Fowler), age 80, of Valliant, Oklahoma, passed away on February 7, 2026.

Linda was born on May 20, 1945, in Valliant, Oklahoma, to Willie C. Fowler and Lorene (Mahon) Fowler. She spent her childhood and much of her life in Valliant, a place she always called home.

She was united in marriage to Adrion Guthrie on May 25, 1963, in Idabel, Oklahoma and this year, they would have celebrated 63 years together.

Linda was a devoted mother to her son, Kim Guthrie and his wife Shelly, and her daughter, Lori Guthrie. She was a proud grandmother to Kayla Guthrie, Colin Armstrong, Jordan Guthrie, Morgan Guthrie, and Krystopher Gross, and a loving great grandmother to many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Carl "Snooks" Fowler, Claude Fowler, and Gordon Fowler.

Linda worked at the Five and Dime in Valliant and later spent several years working alongside her mother-in-law, Velma, at Buddy's Snack Bar in Wright City. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, and rarely missed her favorite soap operas, which she lovingly called her "stories." Linda was a longtime member of the Valliant Church of Christ, where she worshiped for most of her life. She never missed a chance to visit, laugh, and talk with her friends.

She will be remembered for her warm smile, her happy-go-lucky spirit, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.
