Les Thomas was born on August 8, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Ira Carol Thomas and Patsy Juhree Towler. He was preceeded in death by his parents; loving wife, Sue Thomas; brothers, Nicky Thomas and Eugenne Thomas; sister Belinda Thomas; and son-in-law, Robert Buster.

Les was a proud veteran and served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975. He then met the love of his life, Susan Pitman. They were married on January 11, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to the community in 1992 and they enjoyed many things about the area. Les loved to fish, especially at Hugo Lake. He would always say that is where he caught the most fish. Les also enjoyed adventures and history, which often went hand in hand. Playing pool and motorcycles were also some of Les's favorite pastimes. Les was quite the character, loving to argue and joke with just about anyone he met. However, most of the time if he did, that meant he really liked you. Les truly loved life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Les is survived by his daughter, Bonney Buster; dog children, Tough and Sissy; grandchildren, Ashley Banfill, Robert Buster and wife, NiNi; siblings, Kevin, Cindy and Linda; step-mother, Thalia Thomas; great aunt and uncle, Margie and Cuz Johnson; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
