Leonard Ray Archie, 89, was born on March 29, 1934, in Millerton, OK, to Andrew Archie and Leola (Bell) Archie. On January 10, 1958, he and Neoma Shirley were married in Enloe, TX. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Neoma; parents, Andrew and Leola, and 2 brothers, Robert and Marvin Archie.

Leonard was a life-long resident of Millerton, OK. He served his country honorably as a member of the US Army. Leonard was a member of the Masonic Lodge 483 of Wright City and Valliant Lodge 301 as well as Eastern Star 302 of Fort Towson. In 1997, he retired from the Wright City Sawmill after 30 plus years. Leonard learned to play the guitar by listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio. He played with the Dalton Street Gang at Peggy's Café in Valliant and traveled with his wife to different churches in McCurtain and Choctaw Counties. Leonard was part of a group that played and sang at nursing homes in Idabel, Hugo, and Clarksville, TX. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Leonard enjoyed "riding in the hills" with his good buddy, Keith Cline. He was not a talkative man, but he did enjoy sharing stories of growing up with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Leonard loved gardening and grew a huge garden every year. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Leonard is survived by his sons, Leonard Earl Archie and wife, Kellee and Troy Don Archie; daughters, Shannon Archie, Carla Deupree and husband, Kevin and honorary daughter, Shelly Reich; grandchildren, Evan Archie and wife, Carol, Joseph Musante and wife, Candice, James Musante, Jeffery Musante, Jersey Deupree and Kayla Chiles; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
