LaSonya Rochelle Butler, a beacon of love and compassion, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and advocacy. Born on August 11, 1970, LaSonya was the beloved daughter of Larry Butler (deceased) and Lois Butler, and cherished granddaughter of the late Francis Robinson, Ross Butler, Johnny B. Carter, and Dorthy Carter.

Known for her beautiful spirit inside and out, LaSonya was selfless, always putting others before herself. Her life's work reflected her compassionate nature, as she was a staunch advocate for women who were victims of domestic violence. For over 20 years, LaSonya dedicated herself to SOS Families, ultimately serving as the Executive Director, where her leadership and dedication made a significant impact. She was a devoted and loving mother to her sons Colton and Carter, who were the light of her life.

LaSonya found joy in family gatherings and cherished spending quality time with her family, especially her grandbabies, niece, and nephews. She was renowned for her cooking and baking skills, often delighting her loved ones with her culinary creations. Additionally, she had a passion for singing and was blessed with a beautiful and anointing voice. As a devoted member of the Olive Branch Valliant church, Lasonya's faith was a guiding light in her life.

LaSonya is survived by her devoted mother, Lois Butler, her brothers Terrell Butler (and wife Bonnie Butler) and Terence Butler, her sons Colton Butler and Carter Daniels, and her treasured grandsons, Braylen Butler and Ta'Zon Butler. She also leaves behind her nephews, Torey Boyles and Cameron Butler, her niece, Sierra Baker, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss her.

Her loving memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
