Larry Keith Speer was born on October 26, 1946, in Durant, Oklahoma the son of Mason Leo Speer and Christine (Ainsworth) Speer. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nedie Davidson and grandson, Trevor Cochran.

Larry attended Crooked Oak School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and along with his brother they hitchhiked to California to work. Larry worked for many years in the agriculture field, baling and hauling hay and feeding livestock. He enjoyed telling stories about his adventures in life. Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and working in his garden. He took great pride in his garden and keeping it in perfect condition. Larry also loved studying history, collecting glasses and was a self-taught artist. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his son, David James; daughters, Christina Speer, Brenda Speer, Tammy Speer and Loretta Speer; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother Ira Leo "Butch" Speer; sister, Betty Lee Davidson along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
