Lawrence Melvin Johnson, 78, was born on December 24, 1945, in Racine, Wisconsin, the son of Ralph Johnson and Alice (Billington) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Johnson; and wife, Arlene (Peacock) Northcutt-Johnson.

Larry had grown up as a military kid and moved around the country with his family. One of his favorite memories as a child was perch fishing with his mother. He later moved to Colorado Springs and eventually making his home in Paris/Clarksville area. That is where he met his wife, Arlene and they were married in Paris, TX on August 7, 2016.

Larry was an avid reader, and he always had a book in his hand. He also, enjoyed watching old movies and listening to country music with Arlene. Larry had a sweet tooth and always loved when his family would bring him a strawberry milk shake. Larry was a soft spoken and loving man; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his children; Gail Terry and husband, David of Annona, TX, and Vicki Hines and husband, Donnie of Clarksville, TX; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
