Larry Don Gunnels, 71 was born in Morton, Texas, the son of Cecil Clyde Gunnels and Geneva McGreggor Gunnels. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cecil Clyde Gunnels, Jr.; sisters, Kaye Clawson, Anita Schlottman and Karen Rhodes King.

Larry was a member of the Shoals community for over 40 years and married the love of his life Phyllis Marie Himes on September 28, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas. He loved God's beautiful creation especially loved to garden. Larry also loved to play the guitar, sing in church and enjoyed watching football. Above all things he loved the Lord and his family. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis; sons, Coby Paul Gunnels and wife Leslie of Hornlake, MS, Jason Lee Gunnels and Adam Wayne Gunnels of Grant, OK; daughter, Misty Dawn Moore and husband Tiger of Grant, OK; grandchildren, Tanner Neal Gunnels, Dylan Thomas Gunnels, Camden Paul Gunnels, and Joseph Alexander Gunnels; brother, Roger Gunnels and wife Barbara of Hugo, OK along with a host of friends, family and loved ones.
