Kenneth Harold Fennell, 85, went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2025, passing at his residence in Valliant, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth was born on April 11, 1940, in Rufe, Oklahoma, the son of Harold Thomas Fennell and Ravie Helen (Jenkins) Fennell. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wanda June Cogburn and Helen Delane Wheeler; and son-in-law, Lenus Roy Adams.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of the McCurtain County area and was a graduate of Valliant High School, Class of 1959. He married his beloved wife, Jerry Lee (Elliott) Fennell, on February 25, 1960, in Hugo, Oklahoma. Kenneth started at Weyerhaeuser at the young age of 19 in Wright City and dedicated 37 years of hard work, retiring in 1996. However, Kenneth's work didn't stop when he left the sawmill. He was a proud rancher and valued a good day of labor, a trait he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Kenneth's love for the land was as deep as his faith. His hands were rarely still, as he was a true jack of all trades; gardening, hay hauling and working in his own sawmill were just a few things he truly enjoyed.

Kenneth's faith was the guiding light of his life. He shared his love for the Lord with those around him, even holding church services at his home and weekly Sunday dinners with his family. Kenneth was proud that his children and grandchildren followed in his footsteps, attending church and them living their lives through Christ. He found great fulfillment in serving the Lord and his community. He was the go-to guy of his neighborhood and was always willing to help anyone in need. Kenneth's generosity knew no bounds. He could be counted on in times of need and he celebrated in times of joy with equal enthusiasm for those he knew and sometimes, even those he didn't. Kenneth's legacy is one of love, hard work and dedication to the Lord and his family. His life was a testament to the values he held dear, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his family; loving wife of 65 years, Jerry Fennell of the home; children, Sheila Adams of Valliant, Brenda Pittman and husband, Blake of Valliant, and Curtis Fennell and wife, Laura of Valliant; grandchildren, Brandy and Justin Young, Samantha and Matt Wingfield, Jonathan and Shawnte Adams, Lee and Michelle Green, Ace'Lee and Drew Mitchell, Jaxie and Chance Stuart, Mia and Jess Morris, Ty Dawson, Hannah Dawson and Haven Pond; great grandchildren, Shaylen Byrd, Brayden Byrd, Trystan Young, Addison Wingfield, Breyer Wingfield, Stetson Adams, Jovee Adams, Blake' Lee Green, Brinlee Green, Preslee Stuart, Parker Stuart, Hadlee Stuart, Paisley Morris, Lyric Morris and Creed Morris; brother, Harvey Fennell and wife, Kathie; and sister, Sue McKinley and husband, Don; along with a host of other family, friends and other loved ones.
