Edna Kaye Strickland, 74, of Idabel, OK, the daughter of Howard and Bonnie (Lick) Cooper was born July 29, 1950 in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jimmy Strickland.

Kaye was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County, Oklahoma and a 1968 graduate of Valliant High School. She worked as a manager at Doc's convenience store, located in Valliant. Kaye was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Idabel and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She loved being outside, working in her garden and feeding her chickens, turkeys and guineas. Kaye also enjoyed cooking and going to yard sales as well as operating her own flea market booth in Idabel. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kaye is survived by her daughter, Kendall Sorrels of Idabel, OK; son, Jimmy Strickland and wife, Kelly of Talladega, AL; grandchildren, Isabella DiBucci, Easton Sorrels, Elyssa Sorrels, Gage Strickland and Dylan Strickland; sisters, Phyllis Turnage of Bonham, TX and Jody Wheeler of Valliant, OK; special friend, Jimmy Denison along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
