Wanda June Cogburn, 81, was born on June 29, 1942 in Rufe, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harold Thomas Fennell and Ravie Helen (Jenkins) Fennell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ravie Fennell; husband, A.L. Cogburn; and sister, Helen Wheeler.

June was raised in Rufe and had lived most of her life in McCurtain County. June married A.L. Cogburn on July 6, 1959 in De Queen, Arkansas. Together, they ran a general store in New Hope, Arkansas for many years. June was a true homemaker and loved to care for her family. She had a heart of gold and was always kind to everyone she met. In June's spare time, she enjoyed doing crosswords puzzles, crocheting, being outdoors and watching her favorite show, Gunsmoke on TV. June was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

June is survived by her children, Marc Cogburn of Texarkana, AR, Sonya Cogburn-Ross of Durant, OK and Monica Cogburn-Thompson of De Queen, AR; grandchildren, Macey Lacaze, Morgan Oglesby, Alex Thompson and Emily Cogburn; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Fennel and wife, Jerry of Swink, OK and Harvey Fennell and wife, Kathie of Millerton, OK; sister, Sue McKinley and husband, Don of Millerton, OK; special friend, Bennie Matthiews; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
