Ju Nell Watkins, 79 was born on July 3, 1943, in Del Rio, Texas, the daughter of Loy E Holmes and Leta Oletha (Cleaver) Tackett. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Teresa McDonald.

Ju Nell was raised in the Holly Creek area where she met and married Bobby Earl Edwards. This union blessed them with Teresa Diane and Jerry Bob. On April 5, 1974 Ju Nell married her beloved husband of 48 years, Don E. Watkins. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Rattan, Oklahoma and resided there until they moved to the Oklahoma Panhandle in 2018. Ju Nell was a hard worker and a great caregiver for her family. She loved working with the youth in the church and enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing with her grandkids and dearly loved her family. Ju Nell was a strong Christian woman and above all things she loved the Lord. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ju Nell is survived by her husband, Don; son, Jerry Edwards and wife Pam of Beaver, OK; son-in-law Kenneth McDonald of Harper, TX; grandchildren, Joshua McDonald and wife Molly of Mount Hope, KS, Caleb McDonald and wife Hannah of Harper, TX, Kylie Edwards of Hardesty, OK and Carsen Edwards of Elmwood, OK; great grandsons, Mathias, Samuel, Levi and Josiah McDonald; great granddaughters, Esther Jean McDonald and awaiting the arrival of Teresa Joy McDonald; brother, Donald Ray Holmes and wife Carolyn of Haworth, OK; brother, Loy Holmes and wife Dovie of Peyton, CO; brother, Leonard Holmes and wife Alma of Mexico; brother, Leslie Holmes of Odessa, TX; sister, Donna Holmes Smith and husband Randy of Fort Towson, OK; sister, Lisa McDowell of Texarkana, TX; sister, Peggy Taylor (deceased); brother, Ronald Holmes (deceased) along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
