Joyce Gaylene (Jones) Shipp was born on June 17, 1959 in Texas City, Texas to William Ross Jones and Brenda Joyce(Alexander) Furr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Austin Dee Furr.

Joyce married the love of her life, Kenneth Shipp, on December 12, 1981 at Felker Freewill Church in Valliant, OK. She obtained an associate degree and worked as a Pharmacy Tech for many years at Bolton Drug. Joyce had lived in the Valliant community for over forty years. Family was the most important thing to Joyce, especially her sons. She liked cooking and loved being able to attend family get togethers. Joyce enjoyed getting to go on church trips with the girls and liked very much being able to spend time with her friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Kenneth of the home; sons, Kevin Shipp of Fayetteville, AR and Dustie Shipp of Valliant, OK; brothers, Allen Jones and wife Peggy of Antlers, OK and David Jones of OK; sisters, Wendy Pierce and husband Joey of Valliant, OK and Liz Yearwood and husband of Bishop, TX; nieces, Heather Prince and Kayla Prince; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
