John Thomas Beller was born to Willie and Leona Beller on March 14, 1958 in Antlers, Oklahoma. He passed away in September of 2025 in Catemaco, Vera Cruz, Mexico. His mother, father and sister, Carol Barnett met him at Heaven's Gate.

Johnny lived his life without fear, without a plan and usually without money or common sense. He was a walking campfire storyteller of tall tales that left you wondering what you just heard and how he ever lived to 67 and a half years. Sometimes, it wasn't the story that was funny, it was the storyteller. Johnny had been to parts of the world that most people would not venture into. He had "vacationed" in sketchy border towns, war zones, drug cartel neighborhoods and jungles. Johnny slept on beaches, under bridges, on park benches and even in a tree in El Salvador. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlynn Moody and husband, Jerrod; son, Broc Cartwright; four grandchildren, Bella, Jaxon, Jayce and Olivia Moody; brothers, Walter Beller and wife, Vivian, Larry Beller and wife, Carolyn; sisters, Beth Beller and Gayla McKinley and husband, Charley, along with a many nieces and nephews, other friends and loved ones.
