Joe Daniel Rodriguez, 89, was born on January 13, 1935, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of Daniel Rodriguez and Lela (Morris) Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elsie Freeman, Hazel Smith and Ramona Sumner; brothers-in-law, Hollis Roberts, Billy Sumner and James Freeman and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Rodriguez.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and was employed at Campbell Soup Company for many years. In his younger years Joe enjoyed coon hunting, camping and riding around on the old country roads where he grew up. He enjoyed playing dominos and was amazed how times had changed and how expensive things had become throughout the years. Joe was a jokester and enjoyed cutting up with his family. He will be remembered by those that knew and loved him for his fun-loving spirit.

Joe is survived by his daughter Connie Allen and husband, Jerry of Paris, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Allen and Justin Allen and wife, Becah; great grandchildren, Corbin Garnish, Cerenity Allen and Adalynn Allen; brother, Henry Rodriguez of Hugo, OK; sisters, Helen Roberts of Hugo, OK, Donna Mickel and husband, JD of Hugo, OK and Ann Jordan and husband, Ray of Hugo, OK along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
