Jo Frances Thomas, 77, was born on June 20, 1945 in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Marvin Dalton Childers and Georgia Mae (Moody) Bowlin. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin; mother, Georgia and stepfather, Ray Bowlin; husband, Otis D. Thomas; sister, Tressia Childers and brother, Michael Bowlin.

Jo was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area and is where she married her loving husband, Otis D. Thomas on January 16, 1961. Jo was known for her spunk and her ability to always speak her mind. She had a sweet soul and was a very hard worker. Jo would always be the first person to work at any job she had and the last one to leave. She cared deeply for her family and would do anything to help them. In her spare time, Jo loved to play Bingo and enjoyed her honey buns and Dr. Pepper. Her spunk and wit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jo is survived by her sons, Alan Lee Thomas and wife, Hannah of Durant, OK, Marvin Thomas and wife, Amy of Cartwright, OK, Jason Thomas of McAlester, OK and Mike Akins of Paris, TX; daughters, Cindy Mcghey and husband, James of Hugo, OK and Anita Braudrick and companion, Felton of Durant, OK; sister, Carolyn Good of Lubbock, TX; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
