Jerry Lee McCleskey, 77, was born on December 28, 1947, in Valliant, Oklahoma to William and Mavis (Crain) McCleskey. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Beatty; daughter, Tina McCleskey; brothers, Herbert, Gerald, Jimmy Dean, Milven "Madd Jack" McCleskey and sister, Jeannie Heaton.

Jerry was a lifelong member of McCurtain County, Oklahoma. He married his loving wife, Carol Wieberg on December 7, 1975, in Moab, Utah. Jerry worked as a diesel mechanic for many years, beginning in the oil fields and then later opening his own shop called Carol's Truck Stop. His shop was first located in Wright City, later moving to Valliant, where he worked on diesel engines and log trucks until his retirement.

If Jerry wasn't tinkering on something, you could find him either in the woods or out fishing. Jerry also enjoyed raising cattle and other animals, like chickens and rabbits. However, Jerry's true joy in life was his family. He loved to visit with them and spend time with them any chance he could. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol McCleskey of Valliant, OK; sons, Terry McCleskey and Joe McCleskey daughters, Tammy Dunavent and husband, Greg and Teresa Nixon and husband, Quahana; bonus children, Karmela Hudgins, Joseph Luper and Wesley Caldwell;  grandchildren, Tesla, Cody, Tamara, Miranda, Thomas, Gregory, Tristen, Destany and Marissa; great grandchildren, Brayden, Braxton, Zakara and Elias; great great grandchildren, Weston, Kassidy and Pockets; brothers, William McCleskey, John William "J.W." McCleskey, Robert McCleskey, James" J.D" McCleskey, Melton McCleskey and Leroy McCleskey; sisters, Linda McCleskey, Brenda McCleskey, Charlene McCleskey, Carlene Huskins, Laquanda Dunavant and Lawanda McCleskey; along with numerous  other loved ones and friends.
