Jason "Bubba" Edward Shelton, 35, was born on July 18, 1988, the son of Julius Henry "Dooley" Shelton and Felicia Kay "Katie" Shelton. He was preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Nagel; paternal grandparents, Robert Shelton and Bertie Shelton and nephew, Tripp Taylor.

Bubba was a lifelong resident of Wright City, Oklahoma and a graduate of Wright City High School, Class of 2007. He was an outdoorsman at heart –– he loved being outside, fishing, hunting, shooting and riding around in the hills. And nothing made him happier than sharing those experiences with others. Bubba was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his experiences. Bubba will be remembered for all the heart and love he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them –– and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity and strength. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bubba is survived by his daughters, Evelyn Kate Shelton and Aubrey LeAnn Shelton; his father and best friend, Dooley Shelton of Wright City, OK; sister, Krystle Taylor and husband Ernie of Hugo, OK; maternal grandmother, Sue Nagel of Iron Stob, OK; nephew, Clancy Taylor along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
