Florencie "Jane" Brown Slaton was born April 14, 1942 at Rock Hill, OK. She married the love of her life, Horace Slaton, December 8, 1979 in Hugo, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Wenford Slaton; parents, Izoria Dorothy (Linkswiler) and William Calvin Brown; sisters, Margie Turner and Pauline Davis; brothers, Billy Brown and Berl Glaze; daughters, Barbara Freeman and Connie Payne and son, Rowland Slaton.

She is survived by her daughters, LaRinda Vaughan and husband, Joseph of Poteau, OK, Arthea Tempel and husband, Joshua of Buckhorn, OK, daughter, Shirley Hagen of Big Lake, Alaska; granddaughters, Jasmin Blair, Kathryn Tempel, Malyn Anderson, Monica Covington, and Misty Tims; grandsons, Marc Blair, Charles Tempel, Marc Greer, and Eric Sherwood, as well as a multitude of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jane was raised in the Pentecostal faith and loved the Lord her whole life. She worked as a waitress, hairdresser, small business owner, and farmer/rancher until she retired. She loved life and enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Services will be Monday November 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Pavilion of Soper Cemetery.
