James "Buzzy" Edward Easterwood, Jr., 75, was born on February 16, 1949, at home, southwest of Fort Towson, Oklahoma, the son of James E. and Geneva (Justice) Easterwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Irene Easterwood; brother, Steve Easterwood; sister, Linda Tyler and infant sister, Carolyn Jan Easterwood.

Buzzy was a lifelong resident and 1967 high school graduate of Fort Towson, OK. Upon graduation, he honorably served his country in the US Army. Buzzy married his beloved wife, Anna Chrisman on August 1, 1968, in Swink, OK. He retired from Western Farmers Electric Cooperative, where he worked in the parts department. Buzzy loved being outside working on his place and enjoyed working in his garden. He had a work project going on at all times and liked to stay busy. Buzzy was a great neighbor and friend and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. friend and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He delighted in aggravating kids and adults alike and telling stories about growing up. Buzzy was a member of the Fort Towson Baptist Church and was truly a servant of the Lord. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Easterwood of the home; daughters,  Karen Vazquez and husband, Beto of Calera, OK and Tammy Thompson and husband, Perry of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Sarah Billy and husband, Kyle, Ramona Vazquez and husband, Jarett, Nathan Thompson and wife, Lindsey and James Vazquez; great grandchildren, Kaybreigh, Ellie, Kannon, Jagger and Riggin; brother, Roy Gene Easterwood of  Lexington, OK; sisters, Jeanie Batson and husband, Charles of Fort Towson, OK, Gail Beardsley and husband, Larry of Arlington, TX and Debbie Cody and husband, Bill of Fort Towson, OK; brother-in-law, Dale Chrisman and wife, Debbie of Swink, OK: numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; along with a host of  other family, friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swink Volunteer Fire Department or Fort Towson Cemetery Association.
