Iva Jo Parsons, 90,  was born on August 21, 1932, in Crowder Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Hubert "Bill" Barker and Flora Bell (Hedges) Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Arden.

Iva married the love of her life Charles Arden Parsons, Sr. on October 9, 1951, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She took great pride in her home and raising their two children. Iva was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She spent her "retirement" years working at the Meals on Wheels program and Frontier Village and Museum, both in Denison. She loved meeting people and helping those in need. Iva will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Iva is survived by her son Charles A. Parsons, Jr. and wife Dana of Ravenna, TX; daughter Tina Parsons Nielson and husband Carl of Celina, TX; grandchildren Jake Parsons, Clay Parsons, Ty Parsons, C.J. Nielson and Iva Channing Stark; six great grandchildren and brother Hubert Barker of Boswell along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
