Ida Bell Browning, 97, of Valliant, OK, passed away peacefully Sunday morning April 27, 2025, at Homestead Nursing Home in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was born September 18, 1927, to Mike Maddux and Birttie  (Hackworth) Maddux in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. Ida Bell was next to the youngest of 11 siblings.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Browning; son, Bobby Browning and grandson, Larry Matlock.

Ida was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County. She married her beloved husband, Bill Browning in February of 1949.  She had been a member of the Valliant United Methodist Church since 1945. Ida will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by one daughter, Billie Matlock and husband, Floyd of Valliant, OK; daughter in law, Marlene Browing of Garvin; son, Larry Browning and wife, Angie of Yukon, OK; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Plunkett of Ft. Worth, Texas along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

Family led memorial service to be held at a later date.
