Helen Lavina Harris, 75, of Ringold, OK, was born on April 22, 1948, in Vinita, OK, the daughter of Don Stoops and Laura May (Tidmore) Ryder. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Granville "Ray" Harris; brother, Marvin Stoops; sister, Laurel Ryder and daughter-in-law, Klarissa Harris.

Helen lived most of her life in Seminole, OK. She married her late husband, Ray Harris, in Russellville, AR, the year of 1967, and they later moved to the Valliant area in 1987.  Helen loved being a devoted wife and mother. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, quilting and fishing. She didn't hunt but loved going to deer camp and camping with her family. Helen was known as being feisty and it seemed she could look a hole right through you at times. She also liked sitting on the porch watching her hummingbirds and wind chimes. When Helen wasn't able to be outside, you could find her watching a western show or Sheperd Chapel gospel service on television. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Helen is survived by her sons, Randy Harris and wife, Donna of Ringold, OK, Greg Harris and fiancé, Melissa of Ringold, OK, Kevin Harris and wife, Rondi of Valliant, OK, Terry Harris of Ringold, OK and Tony Harris of Sawyer, OK; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Ryder of Seminole, OK; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
